We are working from home!

As I'm sure you are all aware, the government announced a new alert system regarding the COVID-19 crisis. Today the Prime Minister announced  that the country is at Level 3 and moving to Level 4 by Thursday. This means that all non-essential businesses are to close and that people must stay home. Dawsons staff will be working from home from today, 24 March 2020.

For several years now we have been using automation and electronic files which means that we are well prepared to continue working as usual from home. 

We can continue to complete all property transactions and other matters as usual as we are able to have documents signed and witnessed by video call. There may be issues with vendors being able to provide vacant possession. We will be contacting all clients with ongoing conveyancing matters to make arrangements.

If you are wanting to update your will then we urge you to do this promptly. You may use our online service or reply to this email. Your will can be emailed to you for you to sign at home. You just need to have two witnesses who are not beneficiaries of your will witness you sign your will. This could be neighbours watching you sign outside from a distance.
